I Can Fly
A Celebration of North East Hastings Young People’s Creativity
Sunday 3 April
3.15-5pm (Public Viewing)
In the studio

aGender Arts and Education invite you to celebrate the creativity of young people from the North East Hastings Big Local Area. Come and see their work and words resulting from four ‘As You Are’ Programmes delivered in partnership with Hastings Adventure Playground in 2014 -15.

aGender Arts and Education believe that every young person has the right to fly: to flourish and value themselves and others no matter whom they are and where they come from.

We use creative media as a personal, social, health and relationship tool. The ‘As You Are’ Programme was designed with input of young people.  It is based on the premise that YP need to feel good about themselves, and accept difference in others, in order to engage positively with their community. Throughout the programme young people use creative activities to explore perceptions of themselves and diverse others.

Prior to the public view there will be private view for young people, their families and friends from the Big Local Area. The event photograph was taken by Kiera Sellens, a young volunteer.
