What is creative education?

A full day seminar offered by the De La Warr Pavilion and Creative Partnerships Hastings & East Sussex.

Who is it for?: All professionals with an interest in creative education, inc.
• Teachers and other school staff (Primary, Secondary, Special Schools, PRUs etc)
• Artists and Creative Practitioners
• Arts organisations
• LEA and council staff

When & Where: 
Tuesday 22nd May, 10am – 3.30pm
De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea

Aim: 
To provoke thought and action having seen and heard about innovative approaches to creativity across the curriculum.

Description: 
Inspired by the exhibition Working Our Way: journeys in creative education, which includes work from creative curriculum projects in Bexhill Consortium Schools, that will be showing at the Pavilion; the day will be ignited by two keynote speakers. Mike Rumble (Curriculum Adviser, QCA) will present QCA’s view of creativity in education in relation to their ‘Futures’ initiative and Rick Hall ((an experienced consultant in the arts and formally Project Leader of NESTA’s Ignite! programme). The remaining part of the day will be given over to structured discussion around aspects of the keynote addresses and the exhibition, including a student led session exploring creative learning from their perspective.

Fee: 
The event is free. Lunch is included.
