Taking the Utopian ideals that inspired the creation of the De La Warr Pavilion as a starting point, students from five local secondary schools explore the theme of 'Utopia and the Public Space' and what it means to them today.

In each school, an artist worked alongside the teacher and students, each group choosing very different approaches to the theme.

Techniques used include video, woodcarving, model making and collage.

The project is run in partnership with the Hastings and St Leonard's Excellence Cluster. Participating schools: St Richards Catholic College, Claverham Community College, Robertsbridge Community College, Thomas Peacocke Community College and Filsham Valley School.
