Curator Jay Clifton, producer of Ace Stories literary programme, leads a series of discussions and live performance around some of the most prominent literary works and influential authors of the American South, followed by screenings of selected film adaptations.

Sunday 31 October: Easy Rider
Lee Hill, author of the BFI’s critique on Easy Rider and A Grand Guy: The Life and Art of Terry Southern and Jay Clifton discuss Southern’s autobiography Texas Summer, and the influential author’s complex relationship with the American South.

This is followed by a screening of Easy Rider.

Starring Peter Fonda.
