As part of the July Random Fridays.
Sound Intermedia (alias Ian Dearden and David Sheppard) are The Art Works and Cutting Edge Technology arm of previous Pavilion favourites The London Sinfonietta. They are dedicated to realising visionary new art works through live performance and cutting-edge technology. Their initiatives and artistic collaborations continually push past the accepted boundaries of composition, sound design, live sound, music technology and interactive multimedia.
Sound Intermedia will be performing Karlheinz Stockhausen’s 1970 composition Pole and Gesang der Jünglinge. German composer Stockhausen is widely acknowledged by critics as one of the most important, but controversial composers of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
Sound Intermedia will be performing Stockhausen as part of the Joseph Beuys exhibition that will be showing in galleries 1 & 2 from 4 July - 27 Sept.
