This half-term break join artist Sharon Haward and architecture students from University of Brighton on a two day design quest!
Develop ideas from our current exhibitions Levittown, Micro pavilions and the local architecture. Explore structure, scale, texture, design and drawing to create a 3D model micro town.
On both days please bring packed lunches.
Observe and analyse artist Richard Forster’s and architecture student’s drawing and making techniques.
Think about and discuss the style, materials and character of buildings - who designs them and how?
Experiment with mark making and creating texture.
Transform 2D drawings into small scale 3D structures using net forms and folding methods
Observe and analyse micro buildings in the local sea front architecture
Think about and discuss the shape, style and character of suburbs and cities - who designs them and how?
Experiment with scale, grids and pattern
Produce maps and models of an imaginary micro town
