This event is SOLD OUT

Following the success of a recent sold out tour of the US and subsequent release of acoustic mini-album the Scarlet Tulip EP, KT Tunstall performs at the Pavilion as part of a UK tour.

Appearing at some of the most intimate, unique venues she has played for many years, for this special date she will perform songs from her extensive back catalogue and a handful of tracks from the Scarlet Tulip EP.

KT hasn't stepped off the merry-go-round since scoring a worldwide hit with her debut album Eye to the Telescope. Its follow-up Drastic Fantastic was platinum selling and her current album Tiger Suit charted in the top 5 of the UK album chart.

The Scarlet Tulip showcases KT’s songwriting in it’s rawest, most stripped back and intimate form, using just her stunning voice and finger picked acoustic guitar across seven new songs. Recorded completely live and in one take in her studio in the English countryside, KT goes back to her acoustic folk roots and displays an incredibly versatile side to her talents as a vocalist. The Independent describes this acoustic mini-album as  "seven delicately fingerpicked folk songs featuring just her voice and acoustic guitar".

Her live shows exhibit her signature onstage charisma and musical prowess, performing with loop pedals, drum machines, tambourines, keyboards and any other instruments that come to hand along the way.

KT will be supported by special guest Sam Lewis. A chance meeting with KT led to Sam playing guitar for her world tours between 2004 and 2009. His own 2007 debut release Everything You Are received a 4-star review in Mojo with the BBC's review describing it as possessing "an intimacy that gives even the most despairing songs an intangible joy". Q Magazine called Another Lifetime from the album its 'Track of the Day'. Sam’s music has a unique, modern sound; a heady mix of soulful vocals and heartfelt passionate lyrics with tinges of blues, country, folk and soul, all played with a vitality that is fast becoming his trade mark style - truly unique and beautiful.

Folk guiatarist Rozi Plain will also provide support. Rozi released her debut album Inside Over Here on Fence Records and is currently recording a second release.
