Our headline partners tells us why they are involved in the event...
Torr Scientific is pleased to support this event because skilled and talented people need to feel that they can use their skills and forge the career-path they desire here in Bexhill, rather than having to relocate. Local people are often unaware that high-tech scientific and engineering companies such as Torr Scientific are manufacturing in this area and so bringing employers and job-seekers together is very valuable. We are also a keen advocate of the apprenticeships system and welcome the opportunity to meet and discuss the benefits with potentially interested candidates.
Hastings Direct is one of the UK's fastest growing general insurance providers headquartered in Bexhill. Part of the local community for nearly 20 years. Hastings Direct continues to be both the largest employer in Bexhill and one of the largest employers on the South Coast. With a wide variety of roles and apprenticeships, Hastings Direct offers positions to suit many experience levels as well as apprenticeship programmes where successful candidates can gain invaluable experience and a qualification whilst being in paid employment. As well as a number of customer service positions within the contact centre at Hastings Direct, the Bexhill Head Office also has a variety of other specialist function roles within IT, digital and marketing, Claims, Finance and Underwriting. As a successful national company, Hastings Direct supports its neighbourhoods by fundraising for local charities and donating to good causes throughout the year, both in monetary form and through practical and professional aid. All colleagues have the opportunity to be involved in charity work alongside their day to day role and give back to the community they work within.
Bexhill Forward, Bexhill's Coastal Community Team, recently won £10,000 from the Government to establish the Team. They have committed £3,000 of these funds to the first Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair in Bexhill specifically for young people looking for employment, apprenticeships or work experiences.
