Experiment with monoprinting in this 5 week course, informed and inspired by Warhol Is Here.
"If you want to know all about Andy Warhol, just look at the surface of my paintings and films and me, and there I am. There's nothing behind it." This was Andy’s mantra. He also claimed to be "deeply superficial" which, like much of his work, reveals contradiction and paradox.
This course will be a practical investigation into how we represent ourselves and our identities using simple, non-toxic monoprinting techniques with an emphasis on drawing.
Relaxed, friendly workshop style sessions will refer to Warhol’s drawings, concepts and methods to make highly individual and personal work.
