From Corelli’s many trio sonatas to Liszt’s single B Minor, the sonata has been one of the most constant and durable musical forms in western music since the 1700s.

The De La Warr Pavilion, in association with Chimera Productions, presents a weekend of concerts based around this most fascinating of musical forms, performed by some of the finest young musicians performing in the UK today.


Four: Two - Sonata Series 2
Minerva (Layil Barr, Heather Birt and Judith Dallosso)
Atmospheric baroque music played on hand-crafted period instruments including harps, wooden recorders and bowed string instruments.

Castello: Sonata Quarta a due soprani con basso continuo
Buxtehude: Trio Sonata in D Major Op. 2, No. 2 BuxWV260
Corelli: Trio Sonata in G, Op. 2 No. 12
Leclair: Trio Sonata in D Major
Scarlatti: Sonata in C Major (keyboard), K159
Telemann: Trio Sonata in F Major
Vivaldi: Trio Sonata “Follia”, Op. 1, No. 12 RV63
