Back by popular demand, the Pavilion, in association with Chimera Productions, present a third series of original classical music concerts that take in the cornerstones of the solo, duo, trio and quartet repetoire.

This season a selection of world-class performers and some of the brightest stars in classical music perform an inspired Russian-themed repetoire from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Biographies

Ciara Moroney
Irish pianist Ciara Moroney performs throughout Ireland and the UK, specialising in duo playing, chamber music and accompaniment. 

She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Accompaniment from the Royal Academy of Music. During her studies there she won the Scott Huxley Prize for Piano Accompaniment and the Douglas Cameron Prize for duo playing, and has also participated in the prestigious Song Circle concert series. Since then she has worked as a trainee repetiteur at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice.

Ciara appeared as soloist with the Cork School of Music Symphony and Chamber Orchestras and Cork Symphony Orchestra among others, and has peformed at the West Cork Chamber Music Festival.

A fabulous duo and chamber pianist, Ciara has worked with musicians of great repute and recently collaborated with the RTÉ Vanbrugh and the Carducci string quartets.

Eimear McGeown
Northern Ireland born flautist Eimear McGeown has enjoyed a busy and varied career. Since graduating from Trinity College of Music in 2005 with a 1st Class BMus(Hons) degree and the TCM Silver Medal Award she has won many prestigious awards. She won first prize for ‘Best Performer’ by unanimous vote at the Sir James Galway International Masterclasses in Switzerland 2009 and the ‘BBC NI Young Artists Platform Award 2008.

She made her solo TV debut, performing for RTE TV in November 2006 and was chosen as one of Ireland's most promising musicians to make a solo recording for Lyric FM. She has performed as Soloist in America, France, UK and Ireland and at many concerts and festivals as a chamber musician and soloist.

Eimear also plays the Traditional Irish Flute and Whistle and was All Ireland Champion twice. Her versatility has led to her performing in the West End Production of Lord of the Rings in Theatre Royal, London. As both a classical and traditional Irish flautist, she has performed for well known names including President Bill Clinton and Prince Charles.

She performs with folk/rock band Amsterdam including a performance at Glastonbury Festival in 2008 and recently supported The Pogues.
