Tosca's heady blend of intrigue, lust and revenge has made it one of the best-loved operas of all time. The passionate opera singer who is prepared to risk all for the man she loves is played by Julie Unwin.

Olivier award nominee Tim Carroll directs this political thriller, set against the backdrop of the Napoleonic wars, in which a handful of idealists are pitted against the might of a totalitarian state.

Noel Davies, conductor of ETO's acclaimed spring 2005 production of 'Mary, Queen of Scots' and veteran of the Royal Opera and the New York Met, is the conductor.

English Touring Opera tours to more places in the UK than any other opera company, and has been producing innovative and high quality opera for 26 years.
