Working alongside Sarah Jackson, selected as one of Bloodaxe’s 21 Poets for the 21st Century (Voice Recognition, 2009), this workshop is an exciting opportunity to develop your poetry and share your work with an intimate and encouraging group. During the day, we will read published work, discuss aspects such as imagery, form and voice, as well as try out new exercises for writing. We will also have the opportunity to explore the exhibition of work by Joseph Beuys in the main gallery and to write in response to the artwork.

Open to new poets, this workshop also welcomes those with more experience looking for a fresh approach to their poetry. There will be an opportunity for an individual tutorial with Sarah, and the option of submitting a selection of poems for written feedback before or after the class for an additional fee.*

Saturday 22 August
