Mind into Matter curator Alan Powers will give his unique insight into the development of the exhibition and the rationale behind the selected buildings.

Alan Powers is Professor of Architecture and Cultural History at the University of Greenwich and has published numerous books on architecture, art and design. He took a degree and PhD in History of Art at Cambridge, and has worked in architectural preservation and as a freelance author, curator and lecturer. He is Chairman of the Twentieth Century Society.  An expert on 20th century British architecture, Alan Powers was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in 2008.
