This course is a fun and engaging introduction to poetry, designed to spark the imagination and encourage self-expression, as well as offer an introduction to poetic form.

We will look to examples from both traditional and contemporary poetry for inspiration, and work through a range of creative exercises guaranteed to get you writing. Suitable for anyone wishing to develop their writing skills and learn more about poetic form.

'The chance to engage in creative dialogue - it's been a long time!'

'The ideas covered were both challenging and supportive. I felt myself making progress with the tasks.'

'The ability to share within the group while at the same time receiving constructive guidance to help move my writing attempts forward was really useful.'

'Each member was able to have their work discussed in detail and shared with the group.'

I enjoyed the different excercises every week and how to overcome certain problems.'
