Coppélia is a classical ballet in three acts, originally choreographed by Arthur Saint-Léon for the Paris Opéra to a libretto. In this collaboration with Charles Nuitter, Saint-Léon set his beautiful choreography to music by Léo Delibes. It is regarded as one of the jewels of classical ballet and represents one of its true comedies.
This enchanting tale of eccentric Doctor Coppélius and his clockwork creation is a Coppélia is a hugely enjoyable dance-spectacular, perfect for ballet lovers of all ages. A love story infused with charm and comedy, the amazingly life-like doll Coppélia shines, together with a supporting cast of youthful, mischievous characters.
