The second Bexhill Sea Angling Festival opens with a fantastic weekend of food and fun and entertainment for all the family.

The De La Warr Pavilion will present a programme of music and film on its terrace, overlooking the lawns and sea front where the festival will take place.

Saturday 7 September

Dorey The Wise will perform on the bandstand. After launching their debut EP in March 2013, this Indie Pop band have achieved BBC air play for their new single Give It All Away and have attracted considerable press attention:

“Dorey The Wise have a clear direction, their song writing is excellent, their lyrics are honest and relatable, you want to listen again. And listen again I shall, and I recommend you do too. With air play on the BBC, and an impressive back catalogue of gig venues, I’d get down to see this band before they’re big” Rebel, Rebel Review

Dorey The Wise will perform on the bandstand at 3pm and is free

On Saturday evening, the Pavilion will screen Steven Spielberg’s classic Jaws. More than 30 years old, this thrilling, edge of your seat film has excited and horrified generations of movie goers. This film is a 12A and not for the faint-hearted!

Jaws will be screened outside on the sea-facing wall at 8.30pm and is free. Bring blankets to sit on and dress up warm!
