Sunday 22 May
11am - 4pm
On Sunday 22nd May the De La Warr Pavilion opens its doors to a Food and Drink Fair as part of this year’s 1066 Wine and Food Festival.
The Fair will be open from 11am until 4pm with free entry and there will be all kinds of produce and drinks on offer.
Following last year’s successful pilot, this year the Festival again supports restaurants, wineries, and suppliers of good food and drink who will be presenting all kinds of special events, tastings and promotions during the two weeks of the Festival in May including offering samples of their wares all day at the De La Warr Pavilion.
The Festival itself will be opened by TV presenter and famous wine critic Jilly Goolden at an English traditional method sparkling wine and canapé reception in historic Battle Abbey courtesy of English Heritage on Saturday 14th May.
The 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings is the most important anniversary they are celebrating and local businesses are taking the opportunity presented by the public attention to promote the area as being the prime food and drink destination in the South East.
